Ha!

So someone brought to my attention the other night that people had been talking shit on us over at thenjscene.com message board. My first instinct was to go all Steve Albini on their asses but I decided it wasn't worth my time. The main person posting has never seen us live and admittedly hates us because of an article from The Rutgers Targum!! They claim the person writing the article was "entirely ignorant" even though it was written by Tim Ghoul, who lived at, attended every, and helped run shows at The Parlor. And they connect us with Arthouse (as if thats a bad thing) even though we played there twice, months apart.

Personal Favorite: "I can't get into that band at all, and they bring the weirdest fucking people around"

Ha!!! Hell yeah. Those people are called my friends. I have always been a weird-o. I guess that means we play weird music and attract weird fans. The weirder the better. I always say that if we are playing for a bunch of people we have never played to before, you can look around and pick out the weirdest person in the bunch and it is gaureented that they will like us. Long live the weird people. I don't know if the person that posted that has heard about this story so here it goes. In the late 70s and early 80s there were all these weird people, that society at large didn't want to have anything to do with, and they got together and started making this weird music that nobody wanted to hear. It was called punk rock.

And that is all I have to say about that.

ha! ah, albini.

right on, jarrett, fuck 'em. thenjscene.com tends to be a lot of wankery anyway. it'd be like trying to tell those people who build those giant crosses next to the interstate that there's no need to preach.
