Where have I been?

It's been a while since I've posted here. It feels like I've been incredibly busy but I'm not sure about that. There has been a lot to get done as we are all prepping for a bunch of things both personal and band related. Our lease at the apartment we all share finishes while we are on tour. So we have to move all our stuff out before then. I've been working hard to tie up the loose ends of our upcoming national tour. We didn't drive across the country in 2009 so I figure that means we should do it twice in 2010. We finally finished everything on our end concerning our new album. It is 11 tracks and will come out in September. The process of recording this album has been one of the most stressful projects I've ever undertaken. Mechanical failure and personal strife will definitely have made its mark on this one. Being able to listen to the final product makes me hopeful that it has all been worthwhile. We've been playing lots of shows while we are home which is a good thing. Too many days seem to pass between live performances lately (not including tour of course). I've also been trying to plan and mold our fall 2010 to be successful and fun. I feel dizzy when I wake up most mornings and before I go to sleep too. I feel confused a lot. The more I become involved in the "music industry" or whatever the more I'm confused by it. The more of an outsider I feel I am. I try to plan and play our cards well but how to consistently reach the people I want to hear our music and how to consistently play the shows we want to be playing still eludes me. I'm really excited to drive my van across the country again. I'm excited to play for people. I hope everyone is ready to come out and have a good time with us!
